I believe I wrote a review for this CD when it first came out, but I'm also pretty sure I put it with the wrong recording. Us older folks DO occasionally get a little confused.
This CD is nothing short of FANTASTIC ! Ann's singing is incomparable. The songs (some of which are her compositions) have tremendous meaning. "I Know You" speaks to my heart every day, and I play it nearly every day. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning the song is turning over in my head (and in my heart). I wish Ann could come to some place near Houston soon so we could go visit with her and enjoy her singing and "preaching."
Since the CD came out I've had the privilege of getting to know her producer and the man who's responsible for almost all the beautiful music and background vocals on the project. Garland Craft is a marvel. Lots of people who want to make recordings should get in touch with Ann, and she and Garland could put together and produce a wonderful project for you that wouldn't be nearly as expensive as going to some of the major studios in Nashville or Atlanta. You'd get a lot more special attention from them in the production process, too.
I guess I've said enough, but get ahold of a BUNCH of these CD's at the bargain price and give them to friends, family, shut-ins, etc., folks you want blessed. I sent one to my mother as well as the other "bargain" CD Ann was selling a few weeks back. Momma is about to be 88, and she can't see to read any more, so she mostly sits in her rocker-recliner and listens to talk radio and gospel music all day after she finishes her "morning chores" and before having to cook up some dinner. We try to keep her supplied with new music as much as we can.
