Hey there fANNtastics

Checking in with you for a few minutes this evening.  Welcome to all you new fANNtastics, some of you subscribing on the site and some on the road this weekend.      Speaking of this weekend, I was in my little home state of Mississippi...a Magnolia weekend!! :).  I'd like to thank Danita and all the folks at Lambs Chapel in Jumpertown, as well as Pastor Peeples and Canaan Assembly in Booneville for two good services/concerts.  Canaan Assembly is the home church of sweet fANNtastic Susan, who has been a friend for years.  I'd especially like to give praises and kudos to Canaan....I was originally scheduled for another church, they had to cancel on SATURDAY, if you can believe that (lordy lordy lordy), and Canaan stepped in to rescue the widow who was to be "workless" on Sunday night...not a good thing, especially with an off weekend coming up this next weekend.
Barbara Ann, AnnD keeper of the weekend, and I sure did enjoy a feast at fANNtastic Lou's house Saturday night...all cooked by Lou and fANNtastics Susan and Babs.  Then again last night to Lou's for a completely different menu.  I mean, this wasn't the weekend to be on a weight management program!!!! lol.
As I said, I'm off this next weekend, but I'll be "on" for the family farm in MS with my little family.  We'll be having a "Rebel time" at Ole Miss's opening game with Memphis State.  I realize that some of you on the other side of the world aren't all that familiar with Ole Miss :), but it's OUR UNIVERSITY...OUR REBELS!! :).  By the way, the first presidential debate after the conventions is on the Ole Miss campus.  Y'all will have an opportunity to see how goooood they do it in Oxford!!! :)...reckon Shepherd Smith will be there????????

"When Your Family's Lost A Loved One"
This Wednesday, the 27th, would have been our 40th wedding anniversary.  This morning I was reading some in my friend Nancy Guthrie's book, "When Your Family's Lost A Loved One".  She was saying that it can become comforting as we approach these anniversaries, birthdays, deathdays of that loved one, who is now gone, to dwell a lot on those things they did that touched and greatly affected others, think on the special attributes that stood out about him/her that meant so much to you, as well.  I've been "there" quite a bit today, and I can say I'm remembering how much I really LIKED Paul as well as LOVED him.
By the way, I'm asking Shar to put this book in "Ann's Store" so click here.  We will talk about it a little bit more later on.  It's one of the finest books, a practical book, to help us honor our loved one's memory and still "move on".  I like one of the questions she asks..."What's the secret to holding on to our faith--and each other--when we've lost a loved one?"
I just found out today that Ms Sibyl Dyson, Joy Gardner's mama, grandmama to my god daughter Dionne and great grandmama to my grand godson Dyson, passed away over the weekend.  You know Joy from the Gaither videos, a lot of you know her from her days with the Downings.  Would you pray for this precious family?

Ms. Lillie Project
A little bit of congratulations to fANNtastic Wynelle who won the auction (a package of 10 cds) on the fANN forum message board...on my site...(have you joined yet??).  This is special to me, 'cause this auction was to bring in funds for the Ms Lillie Project...we've shared with you how this project is a way to honor my mama's memory by raising funds to provide video players and videos to nursing homes.  Can there be a more honorable ministry?  Would you prayerfully consider what you are to do to help us with this?

You can help in two ways (perhaps more).  First, you give us the name and info of a nursing home where perhaps a family member is in residence, maybe a special friend that you'd like to honor this way?  Then the second part is you making your tax-deductible gift to the Ms Lillie Project in the amount you feel God is directing you to share.

Please know that you don't have to make a contribution in order to give us the nursing home contact.  I kinda feel you would want to, tho, am I right?:).  I truly believe that God is gonna help me (as He already has) raise the funds to provide these gifts to a well-deserving group of people.  If you remember, there were mentions in recent newsletters of the generous gifts that fANNtastics Tammy and Shirley provided to nursing homes through the Ms Lillie Project.  I am asking you to consider prayerfully what God is saying to you about your involvement.  Whatever He says is just the way it's to be!!!  I know I can trust that.

You can email me with your nursing home information and we'll contact you back.  Also,   here's
the link (and quite a bit of info on the project)

Did you get my little Christmas ad?

I'm gonna get myself to the kitchen and slice up two or three of those fabuloussssss tomatoes and some hot peppers of all kinds from my little ole courtyard, making up a big ole salad with grilled chicken on top...topping it off with Ken's Steak House Lite Sweet Vidalia Dressing (mixing in a wee bit of Kroger's Lite Balsamic Vinaigrette) along with some ICED TEA and then I'm gonna kick back in my recliner to see what that political convention is up to :).  Have a blessed week.  I thank you for your reminders that you're praying for ADM...for me, also my family.  You're great supporters...even those of you who don't email me to tell me :) :) :).  I know you're out there, tho...you can't hide, you really can't!!! lol.    Until our next visit....I am your fANNtastic friend,
                                                                                                         Ann D
 P. S.  Did you get my little Christmas ad?  Did you talk to your church yet?  :).  Perhaps your women's event coordinator?  I'm awaitin' to hear from you.  ad
