A fANNtastic Weekend
I loved being with fANNtastic Barbara Ann (Ann keeper
of the weekend :) ). We had just the BEST time with the great folks at Dothan,
AL First Nazarene Sunday morning. It was like a "homecoming" or "reunion" to be
with Pastor Ron and Kathi Pankey (who are fANNtastics) and who I've worked with
in Las Vegas (yep, I did)...just so the rumors won't get toooo lengthy, let me
say we worked together in Pastor Pankey's church out there. I was glad to see
Terry Davis in service....he's the original soloist with the Florida Boys on
that gorgeous cut of "When He Was On The Cross, I Was On His Mind"...and he's
cutting a song next week that John Starnes and I wrote..."I Know That I
Know".
Then last night in Milton, Fl was good with Pastor
Fred Rogers and all the folks at First Assembly (can you believe he's pastored
there for 38 years????). fANNtastics Mary Ann, Frances and Libby along with a
lot of ladies who come to MTWR every year were welcomed
faces.

Our Walkathon for MTWR Scholarships
Dolly (my bestest friend) and I followed through with
our walk-a-thon to raise funds for MTWR scholarships..helping ladies to get to
the retreat who financially could never be there any other way. We tried to
work our little walk in between rainstorms, but couldn't make it happen, but we
sure did "tear it up" at Opry Mills Mall Friday afternoon...we didn't stop to
sample chocolate, allowed not one "squirt" of any new perfumes (you know the
drill in malls)...WE WERE ON A MISSION and thank you, thank you, thank you dear
fANNtastics for helping us raise (just the two of us) a nice number of dollars.
What a precious cause that is...you who have invested in the lives of these
women by giving here already have stars in your crowns!! And imagine how these
women feel...knowing that some of you have touched their lives (lives you don't
even know) in such a positive way by helping them to be in a
place of experiencing the love of other sisters in Christ and hear their Abba
Father as He speaks hope to their hearts that they can go on down the road on
this journey to Heaven...and not alone. Would you be praying for MTWR and all
that God wishes for us to experience May 2-4?
