April 30 Women's Conference
Last Wednesday, just before MTWR, fANNtastic Alice and
I drove to Lincoln, IL for a glorious women's conference at Lincoln Christian
College. Many thanks to the fANNtastic ladies there, especially my new
friend, Sue Rogers. I hope to be there
again!!!

| Post MTWR |
I'm here, I really am :). Wayellll, my body is
sitting here, my brain is a bit dull and I'm aching all over, got a bit of a
stuffed nose and stuff in the back of my throat, but I'm not gonna whine any
more than I just have. I'm telling you, fANNtastics, it has been a
whirlwind of a few days...and I've loved every minute!
Soooo how about y'all? Good weekend? What
was the most fun? What would you hope never happens
again? lol.
If you wanna catch some of the "roving reports" and
"after MTWR reports", you can go to www.anndowning.com and click the fANN
forum...take a look at the main forum and you'll get a little taste of MTWR 2008
from those fANNtastics who attended.
I probably oughta say right here...MTWR isn't a
fANNtastics' retreat, it's been going on since 1992, however, there are scads of
fANNtastics in attendance every year...and the fANNtastics' party of a highlight
on Friday night. We had almost 100 there at the party Friday night
late...and we "partied" until almost midnight. I wish you could have heard
Willo trying to outsing Scarlett and me on "Rocky Top" (all the verses
included...ugh!! :) ) and Patsy Cline songs.
I hope you will make your plans to attend MTWR 2009 on
April 24 - 26. Actually, the Thursday night prayer/dinner led by
fANNtastic AnnieB has grown to be quite an event, so actually the retreat has
expanded to 4 days instead of 3, meaning that you might wanna block out April
23, also.
At MTWR we offered a special discount for those who
registered for 2009 before they left...$10 off the pre-registration price of $99. That means they were able
to register for $89, (which actually isn't much more than what my basic expenses
of food and rooms are, and doesn't include speakers' fees,
transportation, printing, mailing, publicity, etc. If you would like to
register for MTWR 2009 and will do so before midnight on Friday, May 9th, I will
extend a huge, lovin' hand of grace to you, allowing you to receive that same
discount. You can go to "Ann's Store" and do that or call the toll-free
(1-877-886-1629) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. central daylight time,
giving your credit card info or promise you're sending a check for $89.
Then when you receive your retreat brochure after the first of the year, please
fill out the registration form and mark "already paid per 5/08 newsletter
special). This isn't just for those of you who attended this year and
failed to pre-register...it's also for any one of you, whether you've ever been
or not.

fANNtastic Charlie and Linda
fANNtastics Charlie and Linda were superb in providing sound for MTWR...amazing how much they poured into the retreat!!! Charlie is available to provide sound for such events...email me and I'll put you in touch with him! What good is having good things to say if they aren't able to be heard or heard well????

Renaissance Series - 1973
Oh by the way, that new Downings' 2-cd set is being mailed out
tomorrow..wish I could have gotten them in time to mail out before MTWR (but
don't know when in the hoot I'd have had time to do it!!). I've already
heard from a fANNtastic who picked hers up at MTWR that she's listened to the
cds several time through..lol. Here's how to order: Click Here

I'm gonna get myself off here and try to get put my feet up for a
few minutes...they're screaming for relief :). But before I go, let me
share one of the most beautiful moments of this past weekend...
Sweet Scarlett is going through yet another change in her
life...major change...and it's a very, very hard and painful time for her.
She said to me shortly after arriving at the MTWR hotel on Friday
afternoon..."Aunt Ann, I know one day it'll be ok, I'm just in that in- between
time right now". Wow, did she describe how you have felt many, many
times?? It hit me like a ton of bricks. I shared that at the
fANNtastics' party, and when I did, almost every head in the room nodded and
nodded and nodded in agreement, saying they knew exactly what she was saying and
experiencing. Amazing how many agreed!!...along with Aunt
Ann!
My sweet fANNtastic friend, Karen, gave me a new devotional this
weekend. Our theme for the retreat this year was "God's Treasures In The
Darkness". This is what May 5th said from JESUS CALLING...."Come into my
Presence with thanksgiving, for thankfulness opens the door to my
treasures. When you are thankful, you affirm the central truth that
I am Good. I am Light, in whom there is no darkness at all. The
assurance that I am entirely Good meets your basic need for security. Your
life is not subject to the whims of a sin-stained deity".
I hope you can commit to the unchanging and secure love of Abba
Father, who is entirely Good and meets your need for security instead of chasing
around trying to "make a way" that looks good today but doesn't necessarily have
any security at all.
Love and joy to all of you...welcome to all you new fANNs and may
this be a joyful day, not because life is easy, but because it's tough and
you're holding on to dear life to the only Source of strength that you have that
never changes, never quits taking care of you. It's up to us to make a
commitment that nothing will shake us to the place of giving up...we can give up
on US but never on HIM.
Praise God forever!!!

fANNtastic Testimonial

|
My introduction into the fANNtastic world of ADM
came through an e-mail that I sent to Ann Downing just saying hello and telling
her about my business in Arbonne International. I offered her a sample of
our skin care line and in return she offered me a sponsorship to MTWR
2007. What a blessing it was for me to be able to attend MTWR 2007 and get
to meet so many wonderful women. I am forever grateful to Ann Downing for
opening up a whole new world to me and for the many fANNtastics who have visited
my website in 2007. Being a fANNtastic has allowed me to help several
women and that is what I love to do. Thank you Ann for taking a chance on
me.
