Ann's Women's Retreat MTWR Learn More The History and Vision of MTWR Ann Downing's Middle Tennessee Women's Retreat is an annual event that seeks to provide a time and place for women, regardless of denominational ties, culture, or age to come together for an uplifting weekend of encouragement and fellowship with other women in a safe atmosphere, learning more of the grace, hope, and love of God. Karen Dean
Fry is vice president for
University
Relations at Malone University. Prior to that, she was senior
pastor
for Blakemore Church of the Nazarene in Nashville, Tennessee. A
former administrator at Word Music Company/John T. Benson
Publishing, Fry
has published musicals for churches and schools including The
Late
Great Potentate; Amazing Grace; Sounds of His
Love;
Arch the Angel; Prime Time Christmas;Lord of
Life; Shine, Jesus, Shine; and Toys and
Treasures;
as well as penning the well known gospel song, Ten Thousand
Joys. A published author, she is a popular retreat speaker
in a
variety of college and church settings throughout the United
States and
beyond. She has also served as promotions director and
constituency
relations administrator for the Lamb's Club, Times Square New
York, where
her responsibilities included fundraising, public relations, and
student
internships taking place at the Lamb's for various colleges and
universities in this renowned theatrical/worship venue located in
mid-town
Manhattan. She earned the B.A. in English/journalism from
Trevecca
Nazarene University, the M.A. from Tennessee State University, and
has
taken additional graduate work at Vanderbilt Divinity School, East
Tennessee State University, and the University of Florida.
